Pre-school Youth Sports Dance Programs

All Pre-school classes are 30 minutes of instruction and 10 minutes of free play with parents.

Parent-Tot Gymnastics

Age: 18 months to 3 years with parent. Children in this class learn to follow directions, improve balance, develop gross motor skills, gain strength and build self-confidence. A great way to spend time with your child!

Munchkin Triple Play (ages 3-5)

This program is designed to give your preschooler the basic skills of soccer, basketball, and baseball. They will spend 2 weeks on each sport with emphasis on skill development, improving coordination, and fun.

Monday: 9:30-10:10 am
Saturday: 9:00-9:40 am
Members: $45
Community Participant: $65


Sport Skills (ages 3-5)

If your child likes to do a lot of different sports, then this is the class for them. Each week a new sport is introduced that will give the preschooler the opportunity to improve skills, build their confidence and self-esteem, and have a whole lot of fun.

Munchkin Soccer (ages 3-5)

This class is designed to teach the basics of soccer with the emphasis put on dribbling, passing, and shooting. Ball control and teamwork will also be taught.

Munchkin Basketball (ages 3-5)


This class is designed to teach the basics of basketball with emphasis on dribbling, passing, and shooting. Basic rules of the game will be introduced and teamwork will be developed.

Preschool Gymnastics (ages 3-5)

This class introduces the basic skills and movements required in gymnastics. Various rolls, basic beam, and introduction to the vault will be included. There is an emphasis on developing and improving coordination, flexibility, and strength in a safe and fun environment.

Sport & Splash

If your child likes to do a lot of different sports, then this is the class for them. Each week a new sport will be introduced that will give the preschooler the opportunity to improve skills in the gym and then they will be able to hone their swimming skills with lessons.

Tues: 1:45-2:15 (sport), 2:30-3:00 (swim)

Youth Basketball (ages 5-9)

This program is designed to build basic basketball skills and develop a sense of teamwork and game awareness. New skills are introduced weekly as the players build up to game playing situations.

Monday: 4:45-5:30 pm (ages 5 - 7), 5:30-6:15 pm (ages 7 - 9)
Thursday: 5:30-6:15 pm (ages 5 - 7)
Saturday: 10:00-10:45 am (ages 5 - 7), 11:00-11:45 am (ages 7 - 9)

Youth Soccer (ages 5-9)

Players will be taught the basics of soccer, from dribbling, passing, and shooting, to the rules of the game. Developing teamwork and skills will be emphasized.

Tuesday: 5:30-6:15 pm (ages 5 - 7)

Youth Racquetball (ages 7+)

This class is an introduction to the basic skills of racquetball in a non-competitive environment. Participants learn how to serve, volley, ball placement, and strike the ball correctly, as well as the basic rules of the game. Players need to bring their own racket.

Tuesday: 5:00-5:45 pm

Youth Tennis

Teaches the basics and lets children develop the skills needed to play the game. Proper strokes, volleying, serving, and rules will be learned. Players need to bring their own racket.

Floor Hockey (ages 6-8)

Teaches the basics and lets children develop the skills needed to play
the game. Proper stick handling, passing, and shooting will be
emphasized.

Lacrosse (ages 6-8) **New**

This new program is designed to give your youngster an introduction to the wonderful game of lacrosse. Participants will learn proper stick handling techniques with emphasis put on throwing and catching.

Little Kicks Karate (ages 5-9) **New**

Introduces kids to Shotokan Karate, a traditional Japanese karate, in a fun and supportive way. Focus will be on balance, coordination, endurance, and building self-esteem.

Triple Play (ages 6-8)

This program is designed to give your child the basic skills of soccer, basketball, and baseball. They will spend 2 weeks on each sport with emphasis on skill development, improving coordination, and fun.

Wallyball (ages 7+)

Volleyball with walls. This fast moving game is great exercise in a small area. Played in a racquetball court, this game will keep you on your toes at all times.

Let Miss Kara introduce your children to the world of dance. Miss Kara has over 15 years of dance experience including being a member of the Quinnipiac University Dance Team. Under Miss Kara's guidance, your children will learn new and exciting steps and routines while developing coordination and skills.

Ballet (ages 4-6)
Here your child will learn classical ballet. The class combines
rhythm, timing, coordination, and style.
Saturday, 9:00-9:40

Tap Dance (ages 4-6)
With this class your child will learn the moves that will keep them
tapping for a long, long time.
Saturday, 9:45-10:25

Jazz (ages 4-6)
Children will be taught dance steps and routines to contemporary
music. Style is loosely based on the principles of ballet.
Saturday, 10:30-11:10

Tap/Ballet Combo (ages 6-9)
Combines two dances forms of dance into one exciting class.
Wednesday, 5:30-6:10 pm
Saturday, 11:15-11:55
