Donate to the YMCA

Each year, the YMCA provides financial assistance to hundreds of local youth and families. As a charitable organization, the Y relies on contributions from members, corporations and friends to help those regardless of financial means.  Every dollar donated has a lasting impact on the people right here in our community. Please consider a donation to maintain our valuable programs and services – give for a better us.

Giving Back to the Community

Your Support Gives Everyone in our Community a Chance to Thrive.

When you give to the Wallingford Family YMCA, you continue to strengthen the Wallingford Community and move us all forward. As the nation’s leading nonprofit for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y uses your gift to make a meaningful, enduring impact right in your own neighborhood. Your gift ensures that the Y’s programs and services will be open to all.

How You Can Help

In the past year, over 300 families have been positively impacted by the Y as a result of the donations made by so many caring individuals. Providing financial assistance for membership, specialty programs like Fit To Go, LiveStrong at the YMCA, Upward Bound, swim lessons, summer day camp, childcare, youth sports, and a host of other fun-filled community-building initiatives, our annual giving campaign is the cornerstone of the mission work we perform each day at every YMCA location. In the past five years, led by YMCA volunteers and our board of directors, the Community Support Campaign has provided over $750,000 to ensure that everyone, regardless of their economic situation, has access to quality YMCA programs and services.

Your donations of time and money make the difference for so many in our community. For more information about how you can help, contact us or make your gift online today.

With generous contributions from Fred Ulbrich Jr, William Wadsworth, Fred Valenti, Chris McLaughlin and other dedicated Heritage Club members, the Endowment Fund was established in 1982 to ensure the legacy of the Wallingford Family YMCA. Now is the time to rejuvenate the efforts of our founding fathers and build that treasury to help the YMCA continue to meet the dynamic needs & opportunities within the Greater Wallingford community.

The Endowment Fund supports the expansion of buildings and facilities and funds capital equipment purchases and repair. Most importantly, the Fund subsidizes the Wallingford Family YMCA ability to extend services and programs that address community needs.

The Endowment’s principal remains intact, with its earned income reinvested back into the fund each year. As the principal grows, a portion of its earned income may be allocated to help support our mission-driven programs providing sustainability to the Wallingford Family YMCA. In addition, your planned gift allows your legacy and your values to influence our community for generations to come.
